Episode 26: Overwhelmed? Here are three things that can help us stay on mission.

Host Rachel Sweatt discusses the tension of being overwhelmed vs. the calling to be on mission. She shares three things that we can do today to stay on mission, following the example of Jesus and others who have chosen to live intentionally in a world of chaos:

  1. Set your focus on Jesus. Get rid of vision that trips us up. Remember our goal is God’s glory, in every opportunity. (Hebrews 12:1-3)

  2. Be Intentional. The “Proverbs 31 woman” had a lots of needs to meet, yet never gave us a sense of being overwhelmed. Discipline matters and it’s up to us how we choose to steward our time in our effort to be our very best for the glory of God and the good of others. (Proverbs 31)

  3. Be about the Father’s business. We get overwhelmed when we are in business that we have no business being in. Ask God what really matters to Him and commit to only that. (Luke 2:41-52, John 8:28, John 5:19, John 12:49)
